Joey Goldsberry, Staff Writer

At age seventeen A high school is attended by Joey Goldsberry. At the age of 13, Goldsberry realized he was a transgender FTM (female to male). By 13 years old, bullying has escalated and now includes clothing masculine ways and projecting a masculine image. It's not been simple. But steadily gathered himself. The world has given Goldsberry a view on what life is about. Life isn’t just about success, life is about failure, life is about sadness, life is feeling free, life is love. life is so much more than people make it to be, everything is so beautiful and so ugly at the same time. No one knows what anything is. People say they understand what life is, but life isn’t the same for everyone. Everyone loves differently, everyone goes through things differently. To say you understand someone is wrong. No one necessarily understands each other, they can only think. That doesn’t mean the truth isn’t able to be understood. Coping with life and coping with loss, coping with love, everyone has something to cope with. Everyone needs to love everyone, or love would be no where. Even if opinions differ on it. Goldsberry’s happiness was found by himself, with nature. Being connected to what was first here and has been here since day one, makes someone feel like they’ve always been alive.  Happiness can be found anywhere, but it's difficult to find while your eyes are covered by other hands.
